MU Renegades Presentation Night

The end of the state league season is fast approaching. While this could be seen as a very sombre notion (no more late night trainings!!!!) the silver lining is that presentation night comes with it.

First, the important part: presentation night will be held on the 8th of September, keep the date aside as it is bound to be a fun filled action packed night not to be missed. (Also if you happen to receive and award and are not there we will put it on ebay and keep the profit!).

It is going to be 007 themed, so dress appropriately. The cost is $20 if you've attended two or more social functions during the year, $40 otherwise. This pays for a 3 course meal - entree, main and cocktail style dessert. Drinks are at bar prices. The cost of jug of standard beer is $12.

You can pay on Saturday the 1st at the State League finals or via EFT. Payment can be made by EFT using the following banks details:

Members paying fees via EFT must include their name & "ppt ngt" in the "Description" field, ie. "JBloggs ppt night". If there is room, please also include your team. Ie. M1, MH etc.

If you haven't already RSVP'ed with you team manager you need to contact Rosemary (Rosemary_A_Bissett@national.com.au) before the 1st.

This auspicious occasion will be marked by the giving of several awards. Some traditional (MVP, MIP) other less so (the Sphincter awards).

For the uninitiated, the sphincter awards recognise achievement on and off the court in whatever way you see fit (preferably accompanied by an entertaining story).

Sphincter Award nominations can be emailed to Caitlin McOmish (caitlinmcomish@hotmail.com) including the name, team and a brief description. The usual categories are listed below, there are traditional meanings for these awards but feel free to interpret them as you see fit (creativity is encouraged). Alternatively, invent a category to suit your story!
