Junior Coaching Opportunities

The club receives a lot of request from local schools for coaches. They are a way for our members to earn money and give back to the volleyball community. They also help attract new players to our club. If you have the time and the skills please consider one of the following opportunities.

Penleigh and Essendon Grammar (PEGS)

The season begins 22nd October and goes to 24th November. It starts again at the beginning of February and ends March 15th.

Time: 3.45-5.15 on a week day, plus Saturday mornings
Age to be coached: Various from 12 yrs old -17yrs old
Venue: varies - Gilmore Secondary College, Footscray; Fletcher Street, Essendon; Keilor Campus in Niddrie
Pay: Depends on experience. Basic pay $25.00 a week day session, Saturdays $20.00 per hour

St Micheal's Grammar School

Coach required for year 7 boys team. The team trains on Thursdays from 3:30pm to 5:00pm and plays inter-school matches on Tuesdays from 1:30pm to 5:00pm. The position runs for the entire year and the base coaching rate is $22.00 per hour, the rate is higher depending on the experience level of the coach. The Position is available from the 1st of May. Presbyterian Ladies College

PLC is looking for 2 coaches for their senior teams. Matches are played on Thursdays between 3:30pm and 6:00pm, training times are negotiable. The pay is $20-$25 per hour depending on experience. The position starts on the 17th of July. Contact Pamela Simon on 9805 7565 or 0439 430 006.
