Renegade Chicks Win Dragon City

The team which was a mixture of Bendigo locals Chelsea Demeo and Nicky Lindsay and ex-locals Katie Goldsworthy, Sarah Tarquinio, Nicki Stevens and Felicity Brown plus a wannabe Bendigonian Nicole Fitzgerald played 3 round matches on Saturday winning 2 and drawing the other. Finishing first at the end of the day they played fourth-placed Phantoms in the cross-overs on Sunday morning to secure their place in the final.

The other cross-over match between Mornington and Epping Storm was interrupted by an evacuation of the stadium (due to an electrical fire) and ended in a draw forcing a count back which gave Mornington the other place in the final. Epping did not take this decision lightly and would be advised to read tournament rules more thoroughly in the future before issuing death threats!
