Nicki and Dean are engaged!

For those who aren't up with the latest gossip from the Renegades world of volleyball (where've you been?), after an extended period of courtship (and living together) Nickiand Dean have announced their engagement. Deanpopped the question on Valentines Day (after seeking the appropriate parental approvals), and Nickisaid yes (and if she didn't there wouldn't be much point to this story).

They are the latest couple to join the looong list* of people who've hooked up while being at the club, hopefully they'll one day contribute to our juniors program and the like, but in the meantime I wish them all the best and a happy future!

*For those who don't believe how long the list is (or scoff at the potential of our "juniors program") consider this. While attending Jesse and Fi's wedding, who both met at Renegades, it was revealed that Fiona's parents also met and started dating while playing at Melbourne Uni Volleyball Club, the ancestor of Melbourne Uni Renegades. That's makes for a long history of volleyball related romances (and who can argue that Fiona and Sarah aren't proof of the effectiveness of our junior program)!
