Junior Girls Program Begins

Melbourne University Renegades are offering a new Junior Girls Program, beginning this Tuesday 20 September, 4.30 - 6.00 pm at Melbourne Uni Sports Centre, Tin Alley.

Training in 2011 will run until the end of November.  We are trying to introduce the sport to school-aged girls that are interested in playing, but not yet at the stage of senior training.

We will be looking to enter a team into local competitions in 2012, and encourage any interested girls to come along to a training session and join in the fun.

Australian Junior National Championships

This year, the National Junior Championships were held in Adeliade, far from where you wanted to be in the middle of winter. And the courts were not ideal either, with the roof of one court being just above a good high ball set's height.

St Bernards Boys Playing well at National School's Cup

The St Bernards Boys in the Open Division of National Schools Cup have been blitzing the rest of the field and will be playing in the finals at MSAC tomorrow.  Game time will either be 1pm or 3pm.

Ref's needed for schools cup (translate volleyball knowledge into $$$)

Can anyone coaching at the school's cup (or anyone else for that matter) help out with some reffing duties? $30.00 per game, 3 set games. The only times i have so far are Mon, 7/12, 9am at MSAC and Tues 8/12, 11am at SVC. please contact me if you may be able to do any other times during the week.

Western Region Volleyball Championships

On Sunday May 10th (Mother's Day) the Western Region Volleyball Championships were held at St Bernard's College. Renegades Juniors were involved in 5 different teams including the Senior Boys Champions and Junior Boys Champions teams.

Junior State League

As a few of you may know, the Junior State League season is under way. Melbourne University Renegades Volleyball Club has two teams involved, made up primarily of St Bernards students. All games are at 8.30am on Saturday out at Dandenong. As the Junior Co-ordinator I am asking for help coaching the two teams.

Coaches required for Junior State League this Saturday (2nd May)

Junior State League starts this Saturday (2nd May) and we have two Junior Boys teams entered. Unfortunately we don't have any regular coaches for these two teams and I am asking for volunteers to coach the teams on Saturdays. All games start at 8.30am. It is expected that teams who have a 10am commitment will supply at least 1 coach.

Academy of Mary Immaculate (one of our junior program schools) is need of junior girls coaches. Located on Nicholson st opposite the Museum, it should be handy to most club members. positions are available for wed. and fri. afternoons from 3.30 - 4.45. no previous experience necessary and payment is $50.00 per session.
