All Female Players,
Post season training for tournaments will be held once a week starting Wednesday 17th September at 7.30pm - 10pm at Melb Uni Sports Centre. All players welcome.
Tournament Dates
18th/19th October - Mornington Tournament
1st/2nd November - Bendigo Dragon City Tournament
15/16 November - Horsham Tournament
Conclusion of Post Season Training will be November 12th.
If you are interested in playing any of the above tournaments please register your interest with Nicki Penny (Stevens) via email: Nicki.Stevens@vcp.monash.edu.au
Please note teams will be selected by player level and availability; teams are capped at 7 or 8 players to allow for full court time (extra teams will be entered if enough interest is shown).
Any players just wishing to train are also welcome.

I was just wondering if anyone wants to head to horsham? I'm playing with the bendigo team in div 2, and we need another couple of players. If you can let me know ASAP so i can let the team whats going on that would be good.

The weekend tournament started at 8AM against Phantoms from Geelong (with a couple of Renegades in disguise). They won 2-1 and we hoped that would be the hardest match up of the weekend. As it turned out we were right, and after 5 more games, a few beers, a lot of turkish bread and some classic sledging by Gillby we met them again in the final.

For any of the guys who want to train on Thursdays nights, Gus will be running sessions at Gilmore from 7:30pm. Starting this week and running through to the end of November.

We have 12 guys confirmed to be going to Mornington which is an awkward number and leaves us 2 options. Either we get the guys together in a Thunderdome style deathmatch until we have a nice number of players for one team, or we find a few more players so we can safely bring two teams and all enjoy plentiful court time.

Woman's training for Mornington, Bendigo and Horsham Tournaments will commence on Wednesday 3rd of October 2007, 7.30pm - 10pm at Melbourne Uni Sports Centre and continue every Wednesday till Wednesday 14th November. Anyone wishing to play tournaments or train in this period are welcome; if you are unable to train any of these dates but are interested in playing tournaments please email your interest to Nicki Stevens via nicki.stevens@vcp.monash.edu.au

State League is almost finished but that doesn't mean the volleyball has to stop. There are three weekend tournaments coming up. This is your last (and maybe only) chance to secure volleyball glory for 2007.

A Melbourne Uni Renegades Division 1 team has added some Bendigo Pottery to their trophy cabinets after winning the Grand Final of the Dragon City Tournament in straight sets against Mornington last Sunday.
