While the premiership for the honours men was great last year, the finals party would have been even bigger with a few more teams to share it with (especially as Monash had so many finalists, that always takes the edge off things).

We're four weeks into the state league season and taking a well earned break this weekend. Although some people can't get enough volleyball and are heading to Ballarat for the tournament, in which case good luck - hope you earn some skins.

To encourage people to take part in adding content to the website we're holding a photo competition!
The rules are simple and the rewards are ample: Take a photo at state league and upload it to the Renegades website by the end of June. The best photo as judged by an elite and secret panel will win a prize (yet to be determined, but you also win my admiration and respect).

As a few of you may know, the Junior State League season is under way. Melbourne University Renegades Volleyball Club has two teams involved, made up primarily of St Bernards students. All games are at 8.30am on Saturday out at Dandenong. As the Junior Co-ordinator I am asking for help coaching the two teams.

Junior State League starts this Saturday (2nd May) and we have two Junior Boys teams entered. Unfortunately we don't have any regular coaches for these two teams and I am asking for volunteers to coach the teams on Saturdays. All games start at 8.30am. It is expected that teams who have a 10am commitment will supply at least 1 coach.

A requirement (technically an old one, but which will apparently be enforced this year) is that each team that duties as state league must have qualified referees or else suffer some sort of hideous fate (loss of match points from memory, nasty stuff). Now, not many people have woken up and thought to themselves, hey, I might go do a ref's course today. But don't worry, we've organised our ve
