The MU Renegades Junior Girls had a convincing win over Southern Cross Fairhills in the Junior State League Grand Final while the Division 1 Women finished runners-up.

Over two fantastic weeks, all the Australian volleyball teams performed above their world rankings. Unfortunately, none of them won medals, but they can certainly all be proud of their performances in Athens.

The Volleyball Team Australia Men (VTAM) defeated world number 8 Argentina in the last of their 4 match series leading up to the Olympic Games next month.
Playing in Argentina, the VTA Men lost a tight opening match of the tour on Friday, July 16, going down 1:3 in four close sets (22 - 25, 23 - 25, 26 - 24, 25 - 27) .

The second annual MU Renegades Trivia Night was a great success on Saturday, July 3. Around 150 people enjoyed a night of trivia and fun at the Rydges Hotel in Carlton. Thanks to Gareth, Gavin and the rest of the Honours Men's team for organising what looks set to become one of the club's major social events for years to come.

Despite losing their last match to Iran, the Volleyball Team Australia Men (VTAM) have qualified for the 2004 Athens Olympics. The VTAM were competing in the 2004 Men's World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Tokyo against Japan, Canada, China, France, Algeria, Iran and Korea for one of two remaining Olympic places.

Despite losing their last match to Iran, the Volleyball Team Australian Men have qualified for the 2004 Athens Olympics. They did it by the smallest of margins though, edging out China on the ladder by no more than 10 points over the seven qualifying tournament matches - the teams were equal on both match wins and total sets won and lost.
