Nights of Frisbee

During the Off Season, a bunch of us met up in Royal Park & played some Ultimate Frisbee. The beauty of such a random game is that the actions don't come naturally to most of us: throwing a flat disc, catching, defending & running the length of a field and (accidently) coming into contact with other another.  What's more, we occasionally convinced non-volleyballers to join in the fun. It's true!

Casualties sustained differed from the typical sore knee/shoulder/thumb combo in the form of broken finger nails, bruised shins & hands (& necks in some cases), cramped hamstrings, sore archilles, grazed knees & elbows, and general exhaustion.

The highlight of the nights (for me at least) was the reward waiting after the game. BBQ'd pork, roast Daisy (aka lamb from the family farm), ice cream cake, cold beer & fresh salad were some of my favourites. Check out the gallery for a handful of snaps.

If you would like to join in a game or 2 next season, join the Frisbee group.
