January Committee Meeting

The January committee meeting took place on Sunday 10th of Jan. 3 main points were discussed throughout the meeting.

1. Training dates: Training will commence on Monday 17th of Jan for women at Melb uni and on the 18th of Jan for the men. Due to venues being unavailable, there will a training on Thursday, 20th of Jan for both men and women at Princess Park, Royal Parade. Trainings will begin at 7:30 as usual. Hope to see you all there!!!

2. Tournaments: This year there are 3 pre season tournaments. Warrnambool, Geelong Open, and Ballarat. Warrnambool will be held over the long weekend in March (12th, 13th, 14th). The tournament playing fees will be subsidised by the club. The Geelong Open is replacing the VIC open and will be held on the 26th & 27th of March. And lastly the Ballarat tournament will be held on the 2nd & 3rd of April. Club members are expected to play all pre season tournaments.

*Any winnings from pre season tournaments will be put towards subsidising costs for post season tournaments.

3. Coaching directors: Congratulations to Gus and Eric who were elected as coaching directors of the mens and womens side respectively. They will play an active role amongst the mens and womens side and will be regularly discussing training plans, teams and organisation with all coaches. Good luck Gus and Eric!
