Renegades at the Australian Junior Volleyball Championships 2008
Again with a couple of weeks off State League for most of the Renegade community, doesn't mean everyone is relaxing with their feet up over the coming weeks.
Several players are representing Victoria at the coming Australian Junior Volleyball Championships 2008 being held at the State Volleyball Centre in Dandenong from Monday 7th July to Saturday 12th July
- Eliza Smith - Under 17 Women
- Tom Murnane - Under 17 Men
- Carly May - Under 19 Women
- Michael Cirillo - Under 19 Men
- Russell Seitz - Under 19 Men
- Alice Wensor - Under 21 Women
Tom & Alice have the added honour of captaining their teams during the week long tournament
They've all been putting in the hard yards every Sunday for the last 5 months, while most of you are still tucked in bed nursing sore bodies from Saturdays activities. I'm sure they would really appreciate support from anyone wanting to make a trip down the freeway to see Australia’s best Junior Vollyballers in action!
I'm also lucky enough to be coaching an Under 19 Women's team over the week. It's a great way to promote the club within the volleyball community, and possibly find one of those rare juniors not affiliated with a club. Assisting with a team is an ideal start if you're at all interested in coaching.
So come and have a look, support our Reds doing their best for the state and maybe chat to some players and coaches about their experience.
