Your Honours Men need YOU (to cheer at 2pm this Saturday)!
Unfortunately the Honours Men chose a bad time for their first loss to Monash, going down in 5 uneven, topsy turvy sets on Saturday (19-25 25-19 18-25 25-14 15-6 ). The good news though is that a dominant year has seen us finish in clear first place on the ladder, and means that we now get a second chance to redeem ourselves by playing Heidelberg, the old enemy, in this weekends preliminary final.
This is where we need YOU, the loyal rent a renegade cheer squad to come out in numbers and help carry us over the line as we do battle against a rejuvinated Heidelberg side this weekend. It was great playing in front of a crowd of Red last Saturday, but it was noticable that the majority of supporters were girlfriends of the players and some of the other usual suspects (thanks guys!). This is the clubs first foray into an honours final since 2003 and we want all of you to come along and help us out. I know that nothing motivates the guys more than getting the chance to play in front of all our fellow club members, and nothing helps drive home our advantages more than a crowd of Renegades chanting all of our favourite tunes.
So I hope to see you all out in force this Saturday (6/9/2008) at 2pm helping to bring home some long awaited Renegades glory!
