Congratulations to our VVL Honours Men and Women MVP'S!

Along with the excitement of a grand final on the weekend our club was also represented in 2 other prestigious awards. Congratulations to Taleni Afatasi and Jasmine Bieri who were announced as the MVP winners for the Mens and Womens Honours competitions!
Honours Men
While Taleni has previously figured prominently in the running for the State League MVP award (missing out by 1 point in 2002, despite only playing around 11 matches), this is the first season that he has finally made it to enough games to get him over the line and truly reflects his dominance of the competition. This was also apparent in the Renegades MVP count, where he finished almost 100 points clear of his nearest opponent on 220 points.
There is shaping up to be more competition at the vote count next year however with new club member Sua also finishing in the top 8 for the entire competition and getting better with each match.
Honours Women
Jasmine also had a standout season in her first year with the club (we love imports!). Her MVP victory (both for the state league competition and the club) make her the first libero to take out this award!
Other Nominees
As previously mentioned, there were several other Renegades in the running for VVL MVP awards. Congratulations again to:
- Honour's Men - Faalogo 'Sua' Sualauvi
- Div1 Men - Paul 'Chappy' Chapman
- Div2 Men - Russell Seitz
- Div1 Women - Jess MacMillan
