Match Comment:
Volleyball Team Australia made a great start to the 1st AVC Asia Cup with a
strong victory over dangerous opponent, Chinese Taipei, in Korat, Thailand
this afternoon. Chinese Taipei has proved a difficult opponent in past
years, having held match points against Australia when the two teams played
in the 2003 Asian Championships, before Australia won in five sets and then
went on to qualify for the Athens Olympics. The Asia Cup is a new Tournament
for the AVC (Asian Volleyball Confederation) involving the top 8 teams from
the previous Asian Championships (2007 in Jakarta, Indonesia.)

Match Comment:
Volleyball Team Australia continued with another straight sets victory over
Indonesia, at the Asia Cup, in Thailand this afternoon. Indonesia provided
Australia with some stiff competition in Jakarta last year and today's match
was another close encounter.
