Frisbee Fitness Action
Feel like the spare tyre's inflating a little too much over the off season? Join us for some Ultimate Frisbee action in the park as we run around and try to keep fit. Don't worry if you've never played Ultimate Frisbee before, neither have we, that's why we chose it!
We're generally aiming to meet @ 7pm in the park next to the new childrens hospital on Wednesday nights. Check this google map for the exact meeting spot.
If anybody's keen to learn the actual rules, check them out on Wikipedia.

Hey guys,
Tomorrow night looks like the final chance to jog leisurely around the park with a flat disc rather than a round ball. Eric & I are in (without the crazy dog).
Not sure the roast from last week can be beaten, but Sarah's famous icecream cake is already chilling in the freezer...
Let us know if you'll be there.jessa.

Due to popular demand after last weeks match it looks like we're going to have to dust off the frisbee for one more session before Santa tries to squeeze down our chimneys and steal all the biscuits (the bastard!). As usual, same place, Wednesday at 7pm. BBQ n beers after at jess n eric's place.

Hi all,
This week your regularly scheduled frisbee action is moving to a new timeslot (gasp!!!). That's right, "The adventures of Ultimate and his sidekick Frisbee" is moving to a one time special showing THIS Wednesday night at 7pm. The initial forecast is for HEAT, so make sure you bring plenty of water and maybe a few beverages for the BBQ after.

So last Thursday was a pretty nice throw of the frisbee, and we're ready to back it up and do it all again this Thursday. Initial numbers for this week looks like it's going to be a cracker of a match with plenty of participants. As has become tradition (can you call twice a tradition?), we'll wander back to Jess and my house afterwards for a few beers.

Unfortunately the late afternoon rain made things a bit slippery for last Thursday's Frisbee session, but we still managed to a good throw in and chased it down with a pretty tasty BBQ (and maybe a few too many beers). Who's in for more Frisbee action this week? So far we've got Jess and myself confirmed.

Howdy,
So this Thursday's Frisbee session is going to be followed by a display of ninja BBQ skills at Jess' and my place. Given the extra awesomeness involved, who's in for this week (seriously, how can you resist an offer like that)?

So who's in for frisbee again tonight? Last week we had 11 for a pretty good match (and a bunch of people who were coming but didn't show). Who's in again for this week? Same time, same place.

Hi folks,
The volleyball action has started to wind down and it looks like somebody turned the sun back on so it's the perfect time to get back into some frisbee fun times.

Well, it's been a few weeks since we last got our frisbee on, and I was wondering if people were still interested in having a throw on Wednesday nights? If you are, reply and let us know (there's a few people I know of, but I'll let them speak for themselves), otherwise it might be time to close up shop until next year :-) Eric

Given that the men are now training on Thursday nights, that leaves no vball free nights for us to satiate the Frisbee hunger that burns so eagerly within. However, given that there were only 2 girls at the last session (one of whom is now in Brisbane), we're moving to Wednesday nights (which is the girls training night) so the majority of us can still play.

Al and I were just discussing the weather for tonight and we figure that 2 weeks ago we had a great match in 40 degree heat, so we should be able to handle it again (particularly if we set up the field in the shade a bit more).
In any case, if we all melt and can't handle it, we can always just go to the pub :-)

Indoor volleyball training is kicking off next week, so Tuesday nights won't work for Frisbee anymore. The current training schedule leaves Thursday night free though, so starting next week (the 21st), Frisbee will be happening on Thursday nights.

We had a great Ultimate session on Tuesday, and we're looking forward to getting even more of us along this week now that everyone's returning from holidays.
People who I think are coming so far include:
- Myself
- Jess
- Al (from my work)
- Jeremy
- Nadia
- Nadia's friend (I forgot his name already, oops!)
- Carina

Tomorrow night, 7pm in Princes park we're going to get back into our regular Tuesday night ultimate frisbee action (check the group post for a map with the meeting spot).
Current takers include me, and maybe Jess if she doesn't wander down to the beach. Who else is in? Reply and let us know. Rumour has it we may have Jesse, Damien, Al and Carina so far.

The weather held off and we were finally able to get a Frisbee session in on Tuesday night. We had 7 come along which was a good turnout, and it certainly made for a lot of 'fitness' work. Anyway, we all had fun so we're doing it again this Tuesday night, same time and place (check the last post for the details).

Who's up for some Ultimate Frisbee action tomorrow night at Princes Park? We'll start at around 7pm and play for an hour or two, depending on how long it takes to wear everybody out.
I think we should meeting near the playground next to the stadium (near the end of Macpherson Street):
