A requirement (technically an old one, but which will apparently be enforced this year) is that each team that duties as state league must have qualified referees or else suffer some sort of hideous fate (loss of match points from memory, nasty stuff).  Now, not many people have woken up and thought to themselves, hey, I might go do a ref's course today.  But don't worry, we've organised our very own Renegades Refereeing Boot Camp.  Everybody needs to come along next Monday night to the Melbourne Uni Sports Centre (you know, that place we train) and in place of the women's regular training we will be conducting an official refereeing course for all our club members.

Completing the course is compulsory, so if you choose not to come then you will have the opportunity to catch up on the course by travelling to the State Volleyball Centre in Dandenong in your own time (and at your own expense) when they run their next session in a few weeks.  If you don't feel like doing that, then we expect that you will be present at every single duty your team performs to act in any capacity that you're allowed (you get to do a year of lines and probably annoy most of your team mates). You don't want to do that, so learn how to argue right with the refs and come along Monday night!

Bring along a pen, notepad and comfy clothes.
