"One small spike for renegades, one giant leap for volleyball"

Melbourne University Renegades Volleyball club's night of night's is rapidly approaching,  so get your party frock out, splash it with something red / extra-terrestial and join us at the North Suburban Sports Club as we all celebrate the 2009 season and remember all the on and off court action.

This year's Presentation night is being organised by the Honours Men's team in conjunction with the Division 2 women, so expect plenty entertainment (including MVP vote counts) and hopefully a lot of premierships to celebrate!

Where is it?

North Suburban Sports Club, 622 Mt. Alexander Road, Moonee Ponds (take the 59 tram from Elizabeth Street in the city, get off when you see the door of the venue outside the tram window).

How much?

$40 entry inclusive of dinner.  If you were in one of this years tournament winning teams, you'll get a discount.  As soon as we find a calculator and do some sums we'll let you know how much that'll be. Update: we found a calculator, all tournament winners get a $10 discount, so $30 tickets for you!

But what should I wear?

Formal + a little something extra-terrestial, think "Planet Red".

RSVP

Let your team manager or Eric know that you're coming by the 10th of September to guarantee a table for yourself and partner (unless you're a swinging single that is).

The Menu

The menu for the night is fairly extensive, so as part of the RSVP / payment process we'll need you to decide which of the following options takes your fancy.

Entrées

  • Lamb & Vegetable soup
    Classic lamb & vegetable soup with garlic croutons
  • Spinach & Ricotta Filo
    Filo triangles filled with baby spinach leaves & ricotta served on bed of tomato concasse
  • Chilli & Lime scallops
    Fresh Scallops marinated in a mild chilli & lime dressing served on a bed of roquet

Mains

  • Atlantic Salmon
    Grilled Atlantic Salmon w/sautéed baby spinach & mashed potato topped w/lemon caper sauce.
  • Scotch fillet steak
    Char grilled 300 gm scotch fillet steak cooked medium w/sautéed wild mushrooms and a red wine jus.
  • Pork Fillet
    Pork fillet marinated in asian spices and served with a honey, soy and ginger sauce
  • Oven Roasted Chicken
    Oven roasted chicken stuffed w/brie & sun dried tomato, wrapped in bacon and topped with a white wine sauce

Desserts

  • Ice cream w/berries
  • Lemon tart
    Tangy lemon tart w/passionfruit coulis
  • Double Chocolate mud cake
    Double chocolate mud cake covered in a chocolate liqueur and served w/whipped cream

Presentation Night Menu

Hi Everyone,
This is an update with the menu choices for Presentation Night. Each team manager should have a sheet where you can choose what you want when you pay for your ticket. The night will run better logistically if we can get everyone to pick what they want when they pay. If you have any questions just ask one of us or your team manager. Good luck to the teams in the Grand Final this weekend! GO REDS!!

Tram Line Update

The tramline is the 59 Airport West and the stop is # 31 Montgomery St / Mt. Alexander Rd.

There is also the route 504 bus that drops off at Montgomery St & Mt. Alexander Rd and its also fairly close to the Ascot Vale train station.
