Avl Womens Victory in First Round

Just incase you were wondering how awesome your Victorian women's team is, heres a little overview:

In the first round of avl play, the University Blues played UTS Sydney on Saturday May 9th and won all three sets, and then Sunday swept all three sets agains QAS Pirates and Canberra Heat.  The team consists of 9 potential National players, and 3 of our own Renegades Honours players: Lou Bates, Dani Stott and Ciara Michel.  Renegades boasts the most AVL players, with the remainder of the team made up of players from Monash (2),  Heidelberg (1), Falcons (1), Hawks (1) and Yarra Valley (1), and 3 unaffiliated players.

The team kicked butt, had a lot of fun, and expects a successful 2009 season.  Championships here we come!
