Indoor training is just around the corner, and with the new year comes some new changes everyone should be aware of.

4 teams will be entered for both Men & Women Senior State League: Honours, Div 1, Div 2 (senior team) & Div 2 (junior team).  This is one less team than last year for the men, and one more team than last year for the women.  Junior teams will train once a week, before the senior teams.
Melbourne University have removed access to the stadiums from all sports clubs on Wednesday nights, which means the committee has had to explore other options for training: Women will now train on Monday night at Melbourne Uni (7.30-10pm) and Gilmore Girls Secondary College on Thrusday nights (from 6-10pm, more details to come).  Please note: training at Gilmore will commence in February.  Mens training is the same as last year (Tuesdays at Melbourne Uni, Thursdays at St Bernards).  Latest updates about training can be found on the website's Training Page.  All attempts were made to get a 2nd night of training for the girls at Melbourne Uni, but there is just no space available.

A Juniors Volleyball Camp will be run at Heathdale College, Werribee on 12th & 13th February.  Hopefully the camp will show the juniors what Renegades can offer them.  Please try to keep this weekend free to help out with running this event.

Please contact a committee member if you have any questions about training or State League plans.

womens training

So I take it there is no womens training on Thurs 21 Jan or Thurs 28 Jan if we are not using Gilmore until February?  Also what is the plan for training - fitness or balls?  My shoulder is still not 100%.

Jess can you clarify please?

Training Monday & Wednesday during January

Looks like I forgot some important info in my previous post:

During January only, training for the girls will be on Monday & Wednesday, both at Melbourne Uni (dates: 18, 20, 25, 27th Jan).

The first training at Gilmore is the 4th Feb.

The use of Melb Uni facilities on Wednesdays from 3rd of Feb is yet to be decided - the club will have access to a number of the special use rooms, but not the stadiums.

I understand the pre-season sessions will be 50/50 - balls & fitness. I'm not sure what is being planned, but I believe the sessions will be run both by coaches & a specialist trainer.
