Stay Up To Date with the goss from the January Committee Meeting.

Junior Camp

Renegades want to enter a junior team into each Men's & Women's Senior State League Division 2. These teams welcome all secondary students to participate.

To introduce potential players (& parents) to volleyball and show them what the club can offer, Renegades will hold a "Come & Try" Junior Camp on Friday 12th February - Saturday 13th February.

The camp will be held at Heathdale Christian College in Werribee and will include skills sessions, games, prizes, sausage sizzles & hopefully lots of fun. If you would like to lend a helping hand, please let Gus know ASAP.

Training Facilities

MUSA is running a new Netball Competition on Wednesday nights at Melbourne Uni: The girls have lost their stadium to train in. This has forced the club to introduce a new training venue & training night to the girls. On the upside, we now have limited access to other MUSA facilities at various times throughout the week, including:

  • Spinning room
  • Laser room
  • Cardio Boxing room
  • Heavy Weights room

The club is still applying for access to other stadiums in neighbouring suburbs to train in - training venues may change within a couple of months. Please keep a close eye on the training page to see where you should be and when.

AGM: Thursday 11th March 7pm - Order your Hoodie here

The Annual General Meeting is where we nominate members to fill the committee for the periood March 2010 to Feb 2011.  If you want a have a say in the direction the club moves, nominate yourself to be part of the committee.  You must be available throughout the year to attend as many monthly meetings as possible, and fulfil the responsibilities of your role (if there is no link here yet, hang in there as I haven't yet had the chance to put the info on the web).

Also, with the funds raised at least year's Trivia night, subsidised hoodies can be ordered at this year's AGM (and only at the AGM, this is a one off!). Prices have not yet been finalised and are subject to the number of hoodies ordered.

Like last year, we'll hold a BBQ for dinner (gold coin donation).

New Policies Documented on Website

The discussions and policies drawn up at the committee are not meant to be kept a secret. Hence - you're reading this summary here. Furthermore, we are in the process of documenting all policies and procedures on the website for all members to see, such as:

  • Tournament Winnings **new 2010**
  • State League Winnings
  • Playing Top Management
  • Pro Rata payments
  • Becoming a member
  • Event Organisation

And so much more...

Info Booklet Released

Keep your eye out for this cute little information book. It has all the essential info about the club, fees, competitions & social events. More detail on each topic can be found on the website. Please take the time to read it, even if you're an old Red. There may be something there you didn't already know....

Tracksuits Update

Our 2nd tracksuit order has been made to replenish our low stock in popular sizes. Expecting them to arrive at the beginning of State League.

Wanted: Renegades Volleyballs

In 2009, the club has lost over 60 volleyballs and ALL volleyball bags - worth over $2400. That's 6 people's fees wasted just on balls! Check your boot, check your shed, ask your team mates who had the balls after your last game last season. If they don't come back, it looks like each team will be taking 4 balls to each game by my count.

To try to control this issue, we've labelled each ball with a unique code. Each team will be designated its own balls, so we can follow up on which balls go missing. Its time consuming and tedious, but experience shows sending out general emails like this one doesn't bring balls back. Please prove me wrong.

If you have any concerns about the above topics, or anything else, speak to one of the current committee members
