The news from the national women's program is full steam ahead on a number of fronts.

The 12th Senior Asian Women's Volleyball Championships in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, began on Sept 20 and concluded with the grand final between China and Japan on Sept 27. The Volleyball Team Australia Women would have left disappointed with their ninth place finish but a last match victory over New Zealand kept their spirits high.

The Australian team only has one more chance to win at the
2002 Women's World Championships in Leipzig, Germany, after losses to Brazil and Thailand.

2002 Women's World Championships are currently underway in Germany. The Australian team includes former Melbourne University representative Jenny Hiller.

Former University of Melbourne student and intervarsity representative, Jenny Hiller, has been chosen in the AIS/VTA Women's team to compete in Thailand this month.
