Warrnambool Tournament

While pre-season training is over and the Renegades teams are getting more eager to start the season at that first whistle for the serve this Saturday, we thought it would be a good idea to give a small update of what the club has achieved over the last months.

It was another big Warrnambool tournament long weekend with Renegades sending 5 teams to compete in the annual Seaside Volleyball Tournament.  There was plenty of on court action and success (yay, we love success), and as always when you get 40+ fit, athletic players together for 3 days of volleyball action there's bound to be plenty of off court shenanigans to keep everybody entertained as well, but you'll have to come to training for the details on that...

Draw for the 5 MU Renegades teams heading to the 2003 Warrnambool tournament.

Melb Uni Renegades players interested in playing should contact Nicki Stevens (the Club's Tournament Manager) before February 8.

Both the Honours men's and women's teams played their VVL 2001 round 1 matches at the Melbourne University Sports Centre at 8pm on Wednesday, May 2.

The Warrnambool tournament went off with a bang on the long weekend of March 10-12, 2001.

Well, Tachikara volleyballs were NOT used at the 2000 Warrnambool State Cup afterall. Instead, it was Molten Soft Touches as usual. Not sure as to why the organsiers changed their mind, but I guess it will be at least another year before Tachikara are seen being used in Victorian Volleyball League matches.

The 2000 Warrnambool tournament again kicked off the Victorian volleyball indoor season, held on the Victorian Labour Day long weekend, March 10-12.

The Warrnambool volleyball tournament has been running since 1975 and Renegades has competed in every one.
