The money raised at the 2009 Trivia night is going towards subsidising a new, one off Hoodie for club members. Unfortunately, the progress in making this happen has so far been quite slow – we have come up with one possible design but it has the potential to be vastly improved upon (see attached for current design).

Hot on the heels of our last photo competition, the clubs great minds all sat down together and thought long and hard about interesting things that we could do.  Then we decided to do the same thing again!

A University Blues Friendship Tour is being organised in conjunction with the Chinese University Volleyball Association and will involve hosting a visit of Chinese University Volleyball teams to Australia this year in Melbourne in August.

Let's start a little competition aside from the volleyball court. FEES! I know, boring, already done, oh sh.. i should do it soonish.  All these things are maybe going through your mind, but here is the plan:

A few of us have recently hit some milestones (like turning 30) and are realising that fitness isn't a given like it once was, it actually takes a bit of work. Unfortunately, laziness means that heading out for a run or gym session isn't going to happen as much as it should, and in the meantime the off season spare tyre is constantly inflating.

Are you a current or former player with some knowledge to pass on to our new coaches? The club is looking for anyone who might be able to assist a new coach in their role either on a short term or ongoing basis. Please contact Dave Warwick if you can help. Any outstanding fee amounts after Saturday 31 May will have 10% extra added to them. Payments can be made to your team manager or directly into the club account if you have internet banking. If you are on a payment plan the penalty does not apply.

This is a compulsory meeting for all club members/players (just coming to the pub afterwards doesn't count!). At the meeting, members accept the annual report and nominate for positions on the club management committee. See you all in Studio 8 (near the squash courts at MUS) at 7:30pm SHARP. Attendance will be recorded and afterwards we'll be heading to the pub.
