Next tuesday is a Melbourne University holiday so the gym will be shut in the evening. This means no training at Melbourne Uni for anyone, because this is the last training session before state league starts for the Div2 Mens we've booked the hall at Gilmore College.

Super quick summary: log onto the website now and update your details (ticking the box to confirm you've done so)

Another season is rapidly bearing down on us and the few Renegades volunteers are working hard to get everything organised for you all. To cut the admin workload this year we're requiring all of the players to log onto the website and update your details (or, if they're correct, at least tick the confirmation box so that we know).

Support your club in the VVL finals

Although the season ended for many teams on the weekend, there are still 2 Renegades teams with a chance to win a State League Grand Final for 2007. But to make their dream come true they need the club's help. Renegades has a very special history surrounding finals where as a large club our chanting, singing and support really adds to the advantage of our teams in finals.

Here come the finals

For most of the club another season has now come and gone, leaving us with sore bodies and a desire to celebrate with a big presentation night before possibly getting in a few sneaky tournaments before getting ready to do it all again next year.

But, for our division 2 blue men and division 1 women the week in week out grind has resulted in their chance carry the Renegades name into FINALS GLORY! It's also given the rest of us the chance to go nuts Renegades style by getting dressed up in red, grabbing the most annoying noise making device we own and dragging ourselves out to the state volleyball centre to chant Renegades chants and cheer our fellow club members onto victory!

No games Sat July 21st

Jessica McMillan's picture
Submitted by Jessica McMillan on July 18, 2007 - 2:53pm

Approaching the end of our two week volleyball-free period, I'm sure most renegades are well rested, perhaps a little tanned (those who traveled to sunnier parts of the world) and keen to hit the courts and tackle their vulnerable opponents of round 13.

However, the shiny new floors of the state volleyball centre are not yet ready to take the full brunt of the renegades force, and some final touches are required before we can hit the courts. This means that there will be no games this Saturday, July 21st, but the stadium should be ready to use in time for round 14 - the following Saturday.
